CM Governor 2023 – There are a total of 28 states and 8 union territories in India. The Chief Minister is appointed by the Governor as per Article 164 of the Indian constitution, and as per Article 167, the Chief Minister acts as a reconciliation between the Governor and the state council of ministers. However, this does not mean that the governor is free to choose someone as the state’s or UT’s Chief Minister. Our constitution makes no particular reference to the educational requirements to nominate a Chief Minister (CM).
