SSC GD Constable PET

The candidates who score more than the cut-off marks for the SSC GD Online exam will be eligible to appear in the Physical Efficiency Test for which the standards have been set by SSC.

SSC GD Constable Exam Pattern 2024 [Revised]

As per the revised SSC GD Constable Exam pattern, the Tier 1 exam is an online, multiple-choice-based exam.

  • The exam consists of 4 sections with 80 questions in total.
  • The duration for the SSC GD Constable Tier I exam is 60 minutes.
  • The Computer Based Examination (CBE) is conducted in bilingual languages – English and Hindi only.
  • There is a 0.50 negative mark for every incorrect answer in the SSC GD online test.
  • The questions asked in the online examination will be of High School (10th) level.

Note: Pregnancy at the time of PET will be considered a disqualification and pregnant female candidates shall be rejected at this stage. The Ex-servicemen who will be shortlisted in Computer Based Examination will have to appear in PET/PST stage for recording measurements of height, chest, and weight only. PET will not be held for these Ex-servicemen candidates. Further, they will have to qualify for a Medical Examination (DME).

For Physical Standard Test (PST)

The PET will be followed by the Physical Standard Test which will shortlist the candidates on the basis of physical parameters including height, chest size, and vision. The candidates qualifying at this stage will be called for medical examination. The details have been discussed below:
